MEET THE TEAM
Kevin C. Merritt
Principal
Since 2006, Attorney Merritt has practiced civil litigation, focusing primarily on the law of work. With over twelve years' experience in Boston’s elite small labor and employment law firms, Attorney Merritt advocates for workers and advises small businesses on best practices for a fairer workplace.
Attorney Merritt is admitted to practice before state courts and agencies in Massachusetts, and before the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and Connecticut College, magna cum laude.
Beyond his practice, Attorney Merritt relishes every moment he can get with his amazing wife—a product manager for a Boston-area software company—and is an avid cinephile, a lifelong tech enthusiast, and a frustrated cook.

Sean W. Aten
Associate
Attorney Aten represents individuals in employment matters, including litigation and negotiations. Attorney Aten attended Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in Arizona, where he served as an editor on the journal Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Originally from New Hampshire, after graduation he returned to the east coast to practice law in Massachusetts. He joined the firm in 2022.
